For the 2026/27 academic year the government has phased out the Sports premium. Schools will instead receive a transitional allocation to cover the Autumn term, before the funding is replaced centrally by a new PE and School Sport Partnerships Network from Spring 2027.
The transition to the new system introduces several key changes:
  • Transitional Funding: Primary schools will receive a reduced, one-term transitional payment in Autumn 2026 to support the move to the new system.
  • New Network: Rather than a direct grant, £580 million is being redirected to a new PE and School Sport Partnerships Network. This network will offer targeted support, specialist coaching, and resources rather than direct spending allocations

For 25/26 and 26/27 we are reporting as previously. We have planned the whole year and will review when the new arrangements are clear

Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocated the funding.
